素晴らしいプレゼンテーションを見せてくれたプレゼンターの皆さんありがとうございました！

While English has long been considered an important second language in Japan, people are coming to realize that language diversity is an important part of our globalizing society. Recently, language practitioners and researchers alike have emphasized the fact that exposure to different languages helps to develop a flexible mindset and cultivate sensitivity to different cultures and new perspectives, thus allowing for deeper levels of communication. While meeting people face-to-face has become more limited during the recent pandemic period, we are increasingly living in a society where we can connect with people anywhere in the world online without separation. The value of meeting people in person has also been rediscovered.

The LMP (LEX Multilingual Presentation) was launched in January 2015 to provide a platform for young people who have had the opportunity to reflect on and appreciate human nature and diversity in a multilingual, multicultural, and multi-generational environment to share their personal discoveries from a "multilingual" perspective. So far, we have organized ten LMPs (including one virtual event) with 332 young people (individuals and groups) who have delivered their messages to the world and society in three or more languages, based on their multilingual experiences. Hippo Family Club's immersion-style multilingual language learning activities and transnational exchanges were visualized through the young presenters' multilingual presentations. Through the previous LMPs, we have met so many young people from all over the world with multilingual experiences. LMP is a great opportunity for young people to reflect on their own experiences and verbalize their thoughts.

What is ordinary for one person may be extraordinary for another, so all experiences and perspectives are welcome. Through the process of creating their presentations, presenters often rediscover their "unique," "special," and "extraordinary" selves. Therefore, the presenters' powerful messages could allow the audience to open their hearts and minds to multilingualism and diversity!

There are few opportunities to share "language experiences" with the world. We are excited to hear your messages at the 11th LMP Youth Tokyo. This year's event, which marks a milestone, will consist of two parts: the "Online Semifinals," which aims to have more young people's messages heard by people around the world, and the "Final Round," where you can feel the passion of the presentations firsthand.

日本では、第二言語（外国語）といえば、英語ばかりに目が向けられてきました。

しかし、グローバル社会がより進展していく中で、英語を母語とする人は世界でとても限られていることも認識されるようになりました。
多様な言語の体験を持つことが、柔軟な発想を育み、他者の考えや視点、文化を理解しようとする感性を養うことにつながり、より深くコミュニケーションをとれるということが、実際に体験を持つ人や言語研究者から聞かれるようになってきています。
この数年は実際に人に出会うことが制限されてきた一方で、オンラインで世界のどこの人とも分け隔てなくつながれる社会が浸透してきました。そして改めて実際に出会うことの価値も再発見されています。

LMP（LEX Multilingual Presentation）は、多言語・多文化・多世代の環境に浸り、多様性を楽しみ、人間の面白さを体感してきた若者たちが、「多言語」の視点で自らのメッセージを発信する場として、2015年1月に始まりました。
計10回（うち1回はオンライン開催）開催し、延べ332組の若者が、多言語（3言語以上）で、自らの多言語体験に基づいたメッセージを、世界・社会に向けて発信してきました。

これまでのLMPを通して、ヒッポファミリークラブが実践している多言語の自然習得(獲得)と多国間交流の成果が、目に見えるマルティリンガル・プレゼンテーションとなったと同時に、世界には多言語体験をもつ若者たちが本当にたくさんいることも分かりました。
そんな若者たちが、今一度自らの体験に目を向け、そこから感じたことを言語化する大きなチャンスがLMPです。

自分にとっては普通のことも、他者にとっては驚くべきものであることがあります。
プレゼンターは、LMPへのチャレンジを通して、自分の体験の中にあり、そして誰もが持っている、「Unique（唯一無二の）」、「Special（特別な）」、「Extraordinary（並外れて素晴らしい）」を見つけ、自分のことばにほどくことを経験します。
だからこそ、プレゼンターの身体を通して発信される力強いメッセージは、説得力を持って多くの来場者に影響を与えるのです。

世の中に「ことばの体験」を発信する機会はあまり多くありません。
この機会に発せられるメッセージを、より多くの人が堪能できる場を目指し、The 11th LMP Youth Tokyoを開催いたします。
今回はより多くの若者のメッセージを世界中の人に聞いてもらうことを目指した「オンライン公開予選」と、リアルにプレゼンテーションの熱を感じられる「本選」の2本立てで開催します。

多言語で世界を、人生を、もっと面白く感じるきっかけとなれば、幸いです。
